How I Learned
The people around you affect what you achieve and how you achieve it. There's smart people that care about your success and then there's the other people who don't care. People can influence you to do good, and do better. They can also talk in your ear and tell you none of that matters. Yourself, your mind, the way you feel will also have an effect your success in life. If you have no motivation, how are you going to succeed. If your mindset isn't right how are you going to succeed. Setting a routine for yourself can help with your success. Setting reminders to do stuff you know you will forget to do will help. That's how I'm learning.
